Why do I love photographing children so much?

That’s easy to answer.

With the releasing of my camera’s shutter, I have the ability to gather up in my arms all the sweetness and innocence and honesty of a fleeting period of time when the future is unknown, yet unblemished, and unable to cause harm.

Each time I do this I’m then reminded: The future is always unknown, unblemished, and unable to cause harm.

There is only this moment.
