layers

layers.jpg

Having grown up in the Midwest, I am well versed in the fine art of dressing in layers. I think my mom layered me up as a child twelve months of year just so I’d be appropriately attired no matter what the Minnesota climate threw my way.

Even so, it was a bit of surprise to stumble upon this fisherman (woman?) the other day, who not only had layers of clothing going on, but was actually wearing three layers of hats. The irony of the scene being the temperatures this day ranged from a very comfortable mid-70’s to mid-80’s. I was wearing shorts and a tank top.

I watched the fisherman for a bit, never was able to see a face beneath all those hats, and it crossed my mind: could this be a well known celebrity is disguise simply wanting to enjoy a peaceful morning by the lake undisturbed by paparazzi?

Okay, maybe not.

PS Would ideally have liked to show the feet of the fisherperson, who was in fact wearing layered socks below the layered pants (although did refrain from layering shoes)…….but to do so would have put me directly in front of the next fisherman in line, a rather intimidating character who looked at me quite suspiciously. I opted to sacrifice the feet.
