Nifty quote by Mr. James, eh? I have a whole slew of them at my disposal, and while some may think I post these quotes here on my photo journal as inspiration or advice for others to heed, truthfully I put them up for my own benefit. I keep striving for radical change within myself.
I don’t like how shy I can be and the way I so often don’t allow myself to be met. I hide from others and then wonder why no one truly sees me. I wish to be free of this, but it’s an ongoing struggle.
When I’m photographing I forget that I’m shy. I forget my self-inflicted limitations and doubts. I am flamboyant and audacious and present. I look at an image such as the one above and I know I’m somewhere there within it, standing on that rock all loud and proud and full of possibility.
I just wish I could learn to be so free at all times, without holding a camera.
