There’s one in every family. The guy who just won’t adhere to the established standards of conduct with regard to family portraiture. You know, the time-honored rule that states family portraits are supposed to be made with everyone in close proximity to one another, wearing similar clothing, doing exactly the same thing and having perfectly matched expressions while doing so. Family portraits are *not* about individuality, everyone’s aware of this. So what is this guy thinking?
This kind of nonconformist behavior is completely unacceptable and had to be dealt with severely. The punishment: I’m afraid there simply was no choice–it had to be the mandatory family group hug in front of the photographer. The results of which so disturbing in their contrivedness I can’t post here as may be frightening to younger viewers.
It’s not always easy work I do this time of year, but somebody‘s gotta come up with those adorable holiday card images everyone loves so much.
