The dog wanted out every bit as badly as the little boy wanted in. I wonder if restlessness and the desire to push through boundaries is an inherent part of the life experience. Something hard-wired into every organism that understands we’re here for expansion and growth, never to remain stagnant.

Or maybe the dog just needed to go to the bathroom and the boy wanted a snack?

I think too much.
