The father of this little boy really liked this image, while his mother wasn’t sure she wanted a photograph on their wall so prominently featuring her legs. I was pleased the father won this particular debate, primarily because I believe that in the years to come both mother and son will be warmed by the memory of this form of safekeeping, and how her legs alone could provide such haven in moments of uncertainty.
