power hug

 

Toddlers are cool in their unpredictableness. Suggest something as simple as “why don’t you give your daddy a hug”, and you never can be sure what you’re gonna get. We were reaching for anything that might slow this little guy down long enough for me to get a shot of him where he wasn‘t a blur, but his idea of giving a hug was running full throttle into his fathers arms, nearly knocking the wind out of poor daddy in the process.

I was thankful to get even this image, because the energizer bunny never again made contact with another family member, nor was stationary for the remainder of the shoot.
